I don't really know where to start. I don't know how long I would have to be in school either. I want to specialize with eating disorders and help them using natural methods and nutrition. First and foremost, major in psychology and nutrition. it would be unwise to not do so.
Secondly, become a R.D.- registered dietician.
Third, Get a masters in Psychology.

Well to become a counselor you need at least a bachelors degree in Psychology and that usually takes about 4 years. It would also be a good idea to minor in women's studies since the majority of people who have eating disorders are girls.
Next I would suggest you also get a degree in nutrition since you want to teach them how to correctly eat and that takes about 4 years.
BUT to save time you could double major in psychology and nutrition and minor in women's studies and you would be able to counsel.
