At age 18, you would definitely be considered an adult. Mirasol has two 10-bed residential treatment centers — one for girls ages 12 to 17, and one for adults ages 18 and up. There’s a virtual tour of the adult unit on this page.

If i’m 18 would I be considered an adult? I have done residential treatment for the last 8 months and am still struggling and need to find another way to get the help I need. I can’t handle another adolescent program though…

I went to this exact location, and although I relapsed, I am doing SO WELL now. I am so thankful for Mirasol.

Ya, I can imagine it would be hard to relax as I am trying to recover from anorexic myself and look after a 2.5 year old daughter as well. It is anything but easy…

It is a beautiful place to heal … but not necessarily “relaxing”! Recovering from an eating disorder takes hard work, commitment and a lot of loving support.

Wow…looks like a beautiful place. I feel so relaxed just looking at it on here. Can imagine how relaxing it would be if I were there…

  8. I am thrilled to see our video on the Anorexia Advisor website! First of all I love Anorexia Advisor –it’s always excellent, accurate information.

I do want to thank all of you who have commented on Mirasol’s video. I wanted to update some of the information. We are no longer treating adolescents, I’m sorry to say. We have now opened a transformation living house where people come for everything from extended care, transitional living, and primary treatment!

I’d love to have you ALL come!

    Warmly,
