@proudtobeirish77 Alot of black metal has a big emphasis on mood and tone. You may not be able to see it at first but alot actually has huge depth, depth in the lyrics and structure (many black metal bands structure songs or albums similar to operas and symphonies wiht distinct acts, themes, and moods) theres alot to like, thats why people who like it, really like it. plus i have yet to hear any music as suiting to being drunk or pissed off hahah
Mostly all Black Metal songs has a meaning.. Yes, usually emotional.
In Black Metal you can write any kind of lyrics, everything fits to the right riffs and drumbeats.
The heavier and more intense the song is, the better
That’s why they growl, and that’s why they use blastbeats and play such unique and awesome guitar riffs.

what makes this appeal to you? personally speaking, i can’t hear the lyrics which usually help form the songs meaning so is it the instrumental elements or just the expressing of emotion through the shouting? just curious…real answers please

This comes from their site, it says with so many words (correct me if wrong cuz i am dutch and not french): They are currently on hold. After Hreidmarr left, auditions were held to find a new leadman, but they haven’t found someone who could bring back the atmosphere of the band
