Often you see articles on obesity and health risks associated with obesity in conjunction seriously. Wear extra 20, 50, or 100 pounds or more can put great strain on your back, your muscles, heart, and even your mental health. You might think it’s understandable, then, that if obesity is bad, then the opposite extreme – very thin – is good.

Not really. We have spoken on this website, the dangers of being underweight, and the health risks associated with starvation. If you develop an eating disorder, but these risks can be magnified, to say nothing fatal. A well-known case of an eating disorder, which led to premature death, that of singer Karen Carpenter. Driven by self-consciousness and a desire to comments “plumpness” that plagued her teen years, Karen literally starved to escape, avoid foods and binging on laxatives and other over-the-counter drugs to lose weight faster.

As it happened, Karen did not need to lose the excess weight as to trim and healthy. Unfortunately, the surplus took a toll on the performer’s heart and she died of a cardiac arrest at the age of 32. If anything positive had come from Karen’s death, she has the plight of anorexia and other eating disorders, to raise awareness of the majority.

Now one might think since Karen’s death, over twenty years, people can better understand these diseases and the work have to avoid them. Unfortunately, we still find reed-thin actresses and models grace the covers of fashion magazines. We still read stories of women and young girls who put their bodies through hell for the sake of achieving an ideal of beauty that few are able to achieve, of course. It is as if we learned anything.

Two of the better-known eating disorders are anorexia nervosa and bulimia. If a person is anorexic strives to not eat, perhaps most dependent fluids and diuretics to lose weight, reaching into a bulimic in practice to eat very dangerous, then you throw everything before the food has a chance to digest, . These eating disorders are usually brought on by feelings of low self-esteem or body image. Like Karen Carpenter, a person who develops such a disorder, it may have in mind that he / she fat, when in fact he / she can at a normal weight / ratio or only a few pounds will be more. Under a diet to such extremes to remove weight, yes, but to health problems, including profit:

If a person does not eat, starving the body for nutrients, and is maintained within the body by any search move. Resul than other systems in the body may eventually shut down as a result of what his death. In short, anorexia is not healthy, bulimia is not healthy. Although some people are genetically inclined to thin, not every body be it. It would be ideal, but for every body to be healthy.

Weight loss is not about being thin, but healthy

A solid weight loss program like the program should not Compuslim designed to help people to be super-thin, but to help people achieve their ideal weight / frame ratio. If you take dietary supplements to aid your weight loss to choose, it is important to him adapt a nutrition and exercise program that will take off the weight sensibly and safely. To supplement means you have to eat well and follow the instructions on the labels. Never take more than the allowance is required or recommended, and always pair complemented with good food.

Finally, never be discouraged by the pictures you see of ultra-thin models or celebrities have. A positive outlook and personality is essential to remember weight loss is a success, so that the ideal of TV and film can not glorify your ideal. With patience and care, you can achieve your weight loss goals.
